Stem cells pop up in pop culture including New York Times crossword

Stem cells are appearing more often in pop culture including movies like Spiderman, newspaper articles (and advertisements), just about a year ago on Dr. Oz, and now yesterday for the first time that I remember in the New York Times (NYT) crossword puzzle.

There I was doing the NYT puzzle last night while munching a quick bite and that “aha moment” when an answer comes to you was amplified from me because the answer to 31 down was “stem cells.” You can see the screenshot here.

I haven’t been doing the NYT crossword for decades like some folks, but this is the first time I recall ever seeing “stem cells” as an answer and others I talked to had the same impression.

Stem cells have to be one of the areas of scientific research that is most familiar to the public and with deep penetrance into pop culture, stemming from both public debates (mostly in years past on embryonic stem cells) and growing awareness of the research and medical potential there.

It’s cool as a stem cell researcher to see people’s awareness of our field and its presence in pop culture, but it can get tricky too as there are so many stem cell myths and misconceptions out there….and tons of hype…and non-FDA approved stem cells clinics taking advantage of people. For better or worse stem cells are totally embedded in pop culture. Have you guys seen other examples of stem cells in pop culture?

Do Stem Cells Really Work?

Twenty years ago, if a doctor told you that there are cells present in your body that could not only self-replicate, but were capable of transforming into different types of cells to heal several different organs, tissues and joints throughout your body – would you have believed them? What may have seemed like science fiction years ago is the reality today. Stem cells are the only cell in the body that has the ability to turn itself into a new cell with a different function, such as blood cells, brain cells, heart muscle or bone. That creates extraordinary possibilities for therapy. Stem cell therapy is now routinely practiced for a variety of injuries and joint pain, and many believe that’s only the beginning.

Treatments Only Made Accessible for the Rich and Famous

Stem cell treatments therapy were once reserved only for elite professional athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods and Alex Rodriguez, who used the treatments to repair painful knee, shoulder and joint injuries, to get back on the course, field or court, and even delay retirement. Now hundreds of NFL players are using stem cell treatments – the NFL views it as a medical treatment. Now available to anyone, stem cell therapy has become more mainstream, and regenerative medicine is a field that is showing tremendous progress and expanding daily.

How Do Stem Cells Work?

So what are stem cells, how do they help regenerate tissue, and do they really work? Simply put, yes they work. Stem cells were discovered in human cord blood in 1978, and doctors have been studying the effects of stem cell therapy ever since. Stem cells are the building blocks and raw materials of your body – your body’s main cells for repairing damaged tissue and reducing inflammation.

Your body is constantly turning over new cells, as old cells die – those replacement cells are stem cells. When isolated and concentrated, stem cells can divide and replenish cells that are damaged by disease and injury or normal wear. Doctors and scientists have known this for decades, but they weren’t sure how to extract them, and use stem cells for therapeutic purposes until the last ten years or so.

From Anti-Aging to Diabetes: What Stem Cells Can Treat

Today, stem cells are actively and successfully being used to treat a variety of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, leukemia, and even sexual dysfunction such as erectile dysfunction and aesthetics like anti-aging to reduce fine lines and wrinkles or non-surgical hair restoration. Stem cells also repair damaged tissue and reduce inflammation from injury or overuse, which is why it is such a popular medical practice with professional athletes. The question is, what can it do for you?

Who Can Benefit from Stem Cell Therapy?

You may be an excellent candidate for stem cell therapy if you:

  • Would like to regenerate and renew aging cells in a safe and natural way
  • Want to avoid surgery due to risks, or aren’t a candidate for surgery
  • Are tired of temporary pain relievers, such as anti-inflammatory drugs or cortisone injections
  • Want to become more active and energetic again
  • Explored physical therapy first, but want to increase your healing potential

At the Perfect Choice Trading, Inc with TR Zell P-Centa, we have several real-life patient examples of how stem cell therapy has improved conditions, relieved pain, and provided an excellent non-surgical option to recovery. How stem cells can treat eye conditions

The eye is the organ that allows us to see the world around us, to discover the light from the environment and transfer the discovered data to the brain. The eye has an intricate structure formed of different specialized parts with a particular job. Main parts of the eye are cornea, lens, retina, optic nerve and retinal pigment epithelium.

Sight is arguably our most important sense; we rely upon it to navigate through our surroundings with ease. Loss of vision can have a huge impact on a person’s life, but many of the disorders that cause blindness are currently difficult or impossible to treat. Researchers are now using stem cell technology to explore possible new approaches to treatments for loss of vision

Stem cells to treat eye disorders:

Eye disorders occur when any of its parts are injured or stops working correctly. The adversity in treating eye conditions is that new biological part for an eye is not easy to acquire. This is where stem cells can be helpful. Stem cells are like a group of new and actively specialized cells that can aid to replace injured or aberrant cells in the eye. Presently there is no therapy to treat neuro degenerative eye conditions but the idea of stem cell transplant to invigorate damaged cells is an enormous appeal.

Disorders or diseases of the eye occur when one or more of these components is damaged, and/or stops working properly. Different disorders develop depending upon which component(s) are not working. The difficulty in treating these problems is that, unlike the electronic parts of a camera, new biological components for the eye are not easy to obtain. This is where stem cell technology may be of use. Stem cells can act as a source of new, healthy specialized cells and may provide a way to replace damaged cells in the eye.

Stem cells can be exploited to produce an endless origin of transplantable cells to treat the eye. Stem cell therapy can work for corneal transplants. Stem cells can safeguard many neurons in the eye which are important for vision. Stem cell therapy has confirmed its potential for retinal deteriorating conditions by producing growth factors in injured neuropil or by replacing the lost cells in the eye. Stem cell therapies come into sight to offer a new promise for the people to regain vision.

Stem cells are full of growth factors that can become pigmented with features of retinal pigment epithelium. Muller stem cells with right growth factors can transform into retinal nerve cells. Stem cells are the trusting cells of the body. Stem cells detached from your own body can be supervised to be eye’s muscle cells, optic nerves, photo-receptor cells or corneal cells, to resume normal function of the eye.

Conclusion: People with molecular deterioration can benefit from stem cell therapy and for loss of vision, research is going on. Profiteering of stem cells still needs a profound understanding of identification of key regulators in photo receptor differentiation pathway. Stem cell research for treating eye conditions are moving along numerous routes.

Stem cell therapy has been used by doctors since as early as the 16th century to heal damaged cells and/or tissue. In the past 10 years, modern medicine has again started using this process, instead of chemicals to treat illness and/or suppress it.

The Sheep Placenta Capsule for Enduring Beauty and Health contains nature’s bountiful source of cell nutrients, which stimulates the renewal of aged, tired and unhealthy cells in our bodies, nourishing them from inside out.

In a process called Live Cell Therapy, young and vigorous placenta cells are introduced into and absorbed by your body. These healthy cells then travel to your targeted organs where they “attach” themselves and impart their vital life force onto old and degenerating cells. These damaged cells are stimulated to repair themselves and to function with restored efficiency – taking on the characteristics of much younger, healthier cells. For you, this means your body ages more slowly, and you retain the vigor and vitality of youth.

Placenta has long been used for over 1400 years as a beauty tonic, a kidney tonic, and an aphrodisiac to promote general health. It is now no longer for the privileged but available to you in the form of capsules to preserve your youth and health.

A “stem cell” is a type of cell that can divide over and over and produce more stem cells as well as descendant cells that turn into different types of cells. Embryonic stem cells, for instance, can make descendants that turn into any tissue in the body, like skin cells, brain cells, heart cells etc. For each organ in the mature body, there are specific stem cells that can make all the different kinds of cells in that organ.

Stem cells are the repair cells of your body. When there aren’t enough of them, or they aren’t working properly, chronic diseases can manifest and persist.

Stem cell therapy has been demonstrated to induce profound healing activity in animals with various forms of autoimmune disorders. Besides healing damaged tissues, stem cells have the unique ability to modulate the immune system so as to shut off pathological responses while preserving its ability to fight off disease. Stem cells and specifically, mesenchymal stem cells home to inflamed tissue and start producing anti-inflammatory agents. These mediators act locally and do not suppress the immune response of the patient’s whole body. Additionally, mesenchymal stem cells induce the production of T regulatory cells, a type of immune cell whose function is to protect the body against immunological self-attack.

The body’s immune system is unable to recognize umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells as foreign and therefore they are not rejected.

Because the most important function of the immune system is to protect against infection, people with primary immunodeficiency diseases have an increased susceptibility to infection. This may include too many infections, infections that are difficult to cure, unusually severe infections, or infections with unusual organisms. The infections may be located anywhere in the body. Common sites are the sinuses (sinusitis), the bronchi (bronchitis), the lung (pneumonia) or the intestinal tract (infectious diarrhea).

Another function of the immune system is to discriminate between the healthy tissue (“self”) and foreign material (“non-self”). Examples of foreign material can be microorganisms, pollen or even a transplanted kidney from another individual. In some immunodeficiency diseases, the immune system is unable to discriminate between self and non-self. In these cases, in addition to an increased susceptibility to infection, people with primary immunodeficiencies may also have autoimmune diseases in which the immune system attacks their own cells or tissues as if these cells were foreign, or non-self.

Umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal ovine stem cells also proliferate/differentiate more efficiently than “older” cells, such as those found in the fat and therefore, they are considered to be more “potent”.

Stem cells have the potential to treat a wide range of diseases. Here, discover why these cells are such a powerful tool for treating disease.

Benefits of taking cell therapy supplements include much improved energy, super charges the immune system, supports anti-inflammatory relief and provides rapid repair and recovery after illness, injury and surgery.

Many rich and famous personalities would go to Switzerland for placenta injections to delay aging. These are done in exclusive clinics, highly customized and tailored to the individual and generally cost USD 30k upwards. The results are allegedly dramatic. Uh-huh.These placentas are usually fresh, sterilized and frozen for injection. The shelf life of these placentas is rather short, but with improved manufacturing techniques, it is now possible to freeze-dry the placenta to preserve the cells so that they remain “live” even 3-4 years later as long as it is stored correctly. Giving placenta injections must be administered under medical supervision as complications can occur such as allergic shock and sometimes sepsis.

Taking oral supplements produce similar effects at much lesser cost and also safer. A nutritional live stem cell supplement can stimulate the production of stem cells integral for repairing the body. New research suggests that a commercially-available supplement can increase the blood circulation of hematopoietic stem cells, which can give rise to all blood cells, and endothelial progenitor cells, which repair damage to blood vessels.

Cellular Therapy may relieve Menopause Symptoms

The word menopause comes from the Greek meno, which means “monthly”, and pause, which means “cessation”, so it is defined as the permanent cessation of menstruation or rule. It usually starts around the age of forty-five, although it varies a lot from one woman to another and does not occur suddenly, but it is a progressive change.

Symptoms of menopause:

The first symptoms of menopause begin to manifest when, at a certain age, the secretion of the hormones estrogen and progesterone decreases naturally.

The most common symptoms of menopause are:

– Irregular periods.

– Hot flushes, headaches, palpitations and sweats.

– Dizziness and vertigo.

– Insomnia and other sleep disturbances.

– Pain during intercourse and vaginal dryness.

– Emotional changes and depression.

– Osteoporosis.

However, one of the symptoms that most worries women are the changes in the figure, a consequence of a sudden tendency to get fat.

With the onset of menopause, the ovaries begin to make fewer female hormones. This causes the accumulation of fat in the hips and thighs to decrease, while increasing in the abdomen.

In addition, there is a significant increase in fluid retention. All this affects our figure, but knowing well the causes of change, we can learn how to lose weight during menopause.

Living menopause well:

Beyond the psychological crisis of the fifties and its existential issues, menopause reminds us that the organism ages. It’s no use denying it. What we must do is face it and take the appropriate measures to age well. How? It’s a screaming secret: taking care of yourself!

On the one hand, you have to control your diet: eat healthy and prepare a diet that contains everything you need to be strong (calcium, supplements, proteins). On the other hand, it is essential to perform some physical activity on a regular basis, such as walking (at least 30 minutes a day, if possible), especially to reduce hot flashes.

Cell Therapy supplement is an straightforward, natural way to counteract the loss of viable eggs cell with age, particularly in restoring a woman’s fertility.

This is a feedback of a patient with Menopause after consuming stem cell:

Patient: Karla Livingston
Age: 51
Gender: Female
Country: United States
Diagnosis: Menopause
Date of treatment: March 2014

Patient K. has a history of menopause. Before the stem cell therapy she suffered easy tiredness, sweating, sudden flushes, and her workability was low.

One month after the stem cell treatment, the patient K. wrote:

I hope this message finds you well.
Today is exactly a month since I started Cell Therapy. I noticed that I stopped sweating for no reason and I stopped being suddenly so hot. It is a good sign because now I can sleep at night and rest more. On Monday I will be back to work.

Please pass my best regards to the team and take care,

Does Skin-Care made of Stem Cells Make You Look Younger?

Nowadays, stem-cell products are popping up more and more in dermatology offices and on makeup counters everywhere. So what’s all the hype about?

“Stem cells are extremely beneficial in the natural process of healing and regeneration,” says Jessica Weiser, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist in New York City. They’re found in all living things and have the ability to turn into all different kinds of cells and help the body regenerate.

Naturally, your skin is already made of stem cells. As you age, you start to lose them, and by the time you hit 50, you’ve lost about 98 percent of them. Yikes! When you’re young, the average turnover for your skin is about 25 to 30 days. When we get older, the production slows down, [and] the turnover can take up to 60 days. When it’s exposed to the elements longer, it loses that youthful vibrant look. That’s where products come in.

While some skin-care companies do use human stem cells, they come from adults, not emrbyos—and most products on the market contain plant-based stem cells. The stem-cell skin-care products you see on the shelf don’t even contain actual stem cells, but rather the proteins and amino acids that the youthful cells secrete.

This is what your body recognizes and can use to help rejuvenate and repair cells, these are the natural body healers.

The cocktail of proteins and amino acids that are harvested from the actual stem cells themselves signal your own cells to produce more collagen and elastin and ultimately fire up the rejuvenation process. Say hello to the fountain of youth.

It’s important to note that stem-cell science is still in its infancy, and even though not all dermatologists are totally convinced that stem cells by themselves are miracle anti-agers, they do agree that these products are still packed with age-defying benefits.

I believe that these products are worth using primarily for their high concentration of antioxidants, which work to reverse UV-induced skin damage, and also for their potential to improve cell turnover and renewal.

Want to try some yourself? Here is our favorite:

TR Zell PBR (Phyto Based Rejuvenation ( Along with plant-based stem cells, this ampoule is packed with plant stem cells ready to rejuvenate and plump up the skin.

The key to harnessing these age-defying effects is to start young. Start the stem-cell regimen sooner, and you’ll slow down your natural aging process.

Why our body needs Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)?

Coenzyme Q10, or CoQ10, is an absolutely critical factor for cellular energy generation. An insufficiency in this nutrient may play a role in any condition related to fatigue and chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia.

Moreover, the need for CoQ10 and cholesterol for proper myelin synthesis and neuronal communication may lead to multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or “Lou Gehrig’s disease”), and other neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders.

CoQ10 is a compound made by your body and stored in the mitochondria of your cells. The mitochondria are in charge of producing energy. They also protect cells from oxidative damage and disease-causing bacteria or viruses.

CoQ10 production decreases as you age. Thus, older people seem to be deficient in this compound.

Some other causes of CoQ10 deficiency include:

  • Nutritional deficiencies, such as vitamin B6 deficiency
  • Genetic defects in CoQ10 synthesis or utilization
  • Increased demands by tissues as a consequence of disease
  • Mitochondrial diseases
  • Oxidative stress due to aging
  • Side effects of statin treatments

Research has shown that CoQ10 plays several key roles in your body. One of its primary functions is to help generate energy in your cells. It’s involved in making adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is involved in energy transfer within cells.

Its other crucial role is to serve as an antioxidant and protect cells from oxidative damage. Excessive amounts of free radicals lead to oxidative damage, which can interfere with regular cell functioning. This is known to cause many health conditions.

CoQ10 is present in every cell of your body. However, the highest concentrations are found in organs with the greatest energy demands, such as the heart, kidneys, lungs and liver.

7 incredible benefits of CoQ10:

  1. Improves cardiovascular function: CoQ10 support your heart as you age, keeping it pumping strong while supporting normal bloode pressure and reducing LDL cholesterol oxidation.
  2. Boosts energy and stamina: CoQ10 fuels the energy-producing mitochondria found in every cell in your body
  3. Supports cognitive function: CoQ10 keeps brain cells healthy, while supporting mental energy and clarity.
  4. Fights Free Radicals Damage: CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress to fight harmful free radicals.
  5. Supports healthy vision and hearing: CoQ10 protects the delicate tissues of your eyes and ears from free-radical damage.
  6. Improves oral health: CoQ10 keeps the cells of your mouth and gums healthy.
  7. Promotes smooth, youthful skin: CoQ10 can significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Food Sources of CoQ10

While you can easily consume CoQ10 as a supplement, it can also be found in some foods.

The following foods contain CoQ10:

  • Organ meats: Heart, liver and kidney
  • Some muscle meats: Pork, beef and chicken
  • Fruit: Oranges and strawberries
  • Legumes: Soybeans, lentils and peanuts
  • Nuts and seeds: Sesame seeds and pistachios
  • Oils: Soybean and canola oil

CoQ10 is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like compound that seems to have many health benefits. It is involved in the production of cellular energy and serves as an antioxidant.

These properties make it helpful in the preservation of cells and the prevention and treatment of some chronic diseases. CoQ10 has been shown to help improve heart health and blood sugar regulation, assist in the prevention and treatment of cancer and reduce the frequency of migraines. It could also reduce the oxidative damage that leads to muscle fatigue, skin damage and brain and lung diseases.

CoQ10 can be found as a supplement such as TR Zell P-Centa Forte, a nutritional supplement based on cellular therapy and good concentration of CoQ10 for body and skin rejuvenation.

Since CoQ10 production decreases with age, adults of every age could benefit from more of it. Whether you consume more foods with a high CoQ10 content or take supplements, CoQ10 could benefit your health.

Amazing Health Benefits Of Resveratrol

If you’ve heard that red wine can help lower cholesterol, chances are you’ve heard of resveratrol. A large amount of resveratrol is produced in the skin of grapes to protect the plant against fungal diseases and sun damage; therefore wine has higher levels of resveratrol compared to other natural food. Overall, red wine contains small amounts of resveratrol, less than 1 to 2 mg per 8 ounces of red wine.

But beyond being a healthful part of red wine and other foods, resveratrol has health-boosting potential in its own right.

In fact, resveratrol supplements have been linked to many exciting health benefits, including protecting brain function and lowering blood pressure.

What Is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a plant compound that acts like an antioxidant. Resveratrol is a natural compound found in red grape skin, peanuts, blueberries and some other berries. It is a powerful antioxidant produced by some plants to protect them against environmental stresses. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, which are believed to be the cause of aging.

How does Resveratrol work?

Resveratrol protects a cell’s DNA. It is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants can help prevent cell damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable atoms caused by pollution, sunlight and our bodies natural burning of fat that can lead to cancer, aging and brain degeneration.

What are the benefits of taking Resveratrol?

There have now been more than 4,400 studies on the benefits of resveratrol to date, showing that it helps to protect your entire body.

  • Ease Joint Pain, by preventing cartilage from breaking down
  • Protect the endothelial lining of your arteries—so blood flows as it should.
  • Reduce oxidative stress, which prevents premature aging of cells.
  • Cellular support that improves mental function, and promotes oral/dental health.
  • Protects the brain, help slow down age-related cognitive decline
  • Cancer suppression by preventing cancer cell replication and enhancing cancer cell death in a variety of laboratory cell culture studies.
  • Muscle health, by reducing muscle wasting associated with diabetes and cancer.

Now it’s your turn: Do you include resveratrol in your supplement program?

Marine Collagen – Anti-Aging & Cells Growth Superstar

Collagen is a major protein found in our body’s bones, muscles, tendons, skin, and cartilage. Collagen is what holds us together! But as we age, the body produce a lesser amount of collagen which leads to the appearance of wrinkles on your skin and slows down your body’s repair process.

Marine Collagen is extracted from fishes, has been recognized as the safety collagen and far from the infectious disease. These are the superpowers and benefits that will give you:

  • Skin Regeneration

Marine collagen is a powerful natural antioxidant used to prevent and repair the damage caused by environmental factors, such as pollution, humidity, and air. Marine Collagen promotes younger looking skin, improves skin moisture level, improves skin smoothness, improves the signs of deep wrinkles and improves skin suppleness.

  • Better sleep

I’ve shared my tips about 8 hours of sleep beauty because sleep is essential for our body to regenerate. Marine collagen helps and improves your sleep quality without the need of medications or even melatonin in a safe and natural way. It helps improves memory during reduce daytime sleepiness.

  • Stronger bones

Bones are 90% collagen, marine collagen helps prevent bone loss and increase its mineral density, size, and support.

  • Natural fat burner

Studies show that collagen consumed at breakfast are 40% satiating than other proteins and helps to decrease food appetite which contributes to weight loss.

  • Promotes hair growth

Protein promotes hair growth by helping the body to produce keratin, which is key to the formation of hair. Without keratin, hair growth slows and hair strands are weakened. Because protein is important for strong, healthy hair, it is essential to get key amino acids (the building blocks of protein) in your diet, either through food or through hair growth supplements. One of the most nourishing types of protein for hair is marine protein from seafood, fish, and shellfish

For more ideas on how to incorporate collagen into your diet, I highly recommend TR Zell P-Centa supplements  which contain high-quality marine collagen as active ingredient for cellular therapy treatment
